How It Works

First, let it be known that this auction is not ran on a program platform. All updates, including bid updates, are done manually. We have several cats on duty to update the site as your bids come in. If, by chance, they are taking a nap, your update might not show up for a few hours. Don’t stress! You will be notified that your bid was received and of your placing (if your high bidder or was out-bid).

How It Works:

Take a look around, search the categories and see if something catches your eye.

Then, if you find something you simply can’t live without (yeah, we’re counting on this), scroll down and review the bidding form. It asks your name, where you live and how much you’re willing to spend to get the item that has caught your eye. Don’t worry, we don’t need to know your shoe size or blood type. But the information asked for is very important. You CAN NOT bid without filling in the blanks.

Not sure how much to put as your max bid? Well, check your bank account and weigh your options on what is a justifiable spending amount. The toss that idea out the window! This is a fundraiser after all. Bid with your heart and don’t worry, if you decide later on that your heart wasn’t big enough, you can always increase your max bid amount.

After you’ve decided how much to spend, made sure you filled out the form completely, hit submit! You’ve just made a bid. Congratulations!

Don’t panic if your bid isn’t reflected on the site straight away. Again, the cats running this show might be napping.

If your bid is out-bid, you’ll be contacted and asked if you’d like to raise your max amount. No pressure.

At the end of the auction, everything will be tallied and winning emails will go out. Payment is expected with 5 days of the closing auction. You can submit your payment via the paypal address provided. Invoices can not be issued for this auction, as it goes directly to the benefactor, Katy Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes.

After you pay, paypal should send you a receipt of payment. Please forward this to ri. auction@ gmail.com (again without the spaces) and your information will be sent to the approperiate people.
