As of this minute, I have a bit over 47,000 words. Tomorrow will put me over the top. This has been my first attempt at a novel. I was rather anxious about it. Short stories aren't a problem for me, but a whole novel seemed rather daunting. But I kept my focus on my daily quota of words, and that worked pretty well. It's not a _pretty_ novel, by any means. Once I'm done with it, it will never see the light of day--but I'll use the lessons I've learned on this project in my next novel, and the next. I guess I fall into category C.
