Lost And Found

First, I’d like to thank Amanda Brice and Sela Carsen for visiting us this week! It was wonderful having you visit and I hope to do it again!

Also, I am guest blogging over at RRAH today, where I give a history lesson on how RI came to be.

Now to my post here! Whew, I’ve been a busy gal this week and it hasn’t been all peaches-n-cream. Oh no, it’s been an interesting week to say the least!

Saturday I was outside planting tons of flowers in our front yard and when I was finished I began to tidy up. Welp, I bent over to pickup some trash from the flower packaging and hit my head on an iron welcome sign. Sadly, I can’t recall if I hit it on the way down or up. It knocked me senseless..don’t ask my husband, he thinks I’m that way naturally.

Anyhow, this made for a very whacky week. Monday I was chatting at Avon’s weekly chat and everything was wonderful. My headache from Sunday had gone away and all was well. Then Tuesday rolls around, I couldn’t remember who I chatted with the following evening. This is the sort of thing I typically don’t have trouble recalling. It drove me NUTS! Don’t worry, it has now been figured out after a very embarrassing post on Avon lol.

The good news is during my insanity, I managed to finish my synopsis. How I did it, I don’t actually know. Of course I know that I sat down and wrote it but how it wasn’t pure jibberish, I haven’t a clue. Seriously, I figured it’d be trash-ola!

Thursday was a bit sad for me. I had asked an author friend to help me with my edits and she was wonderful! But I was sadden because I couldn’t make heads or tails on how to make the improvements she mentioned. I was so frustrated with myself that I couldn’t help but cry. Thankfully, I got over it! I sat myself down, faced what she was saying and went to work. I won’t say it was easy, but I did it!

Then yesterday, Sela mentions rolling with your chaos, honey, I’m rolling alright! If these past few days haven’t been a true test to my devotion to writing and my will to keep my life semi-organized, then I might as well give up. Which if you know me, giving up is so not an option.

So to bring in my title here, I have lost my mind but found a way to keep the things that matter to me rolling. Have you lost something and found something better? Do you think I should send an S.O.S out for my brain? Will my fish Leo resent me for naming him after a Cat? Ok, I had to put a joke in there somewhere, you know that right?
Now stay tuned this next week as we have another Author Speed Week followed with a chat night! The chat will be on March 31st at 9pm *est* and you never know who might pop in! The link will be posted that day, so come back!

    Haven!

I’m telling you it’s like the Ides of March they posted about on SR. I don’t think your brain need and SOS…. and if it does we’d better send one out for mine too!

I am so glad you got to your synopsis- those suckers are so hard to write sometimes.

Also, it seems like you are feeling better, and now that Spring is finally here, hopefully we are all in the clear. (Also I am so glad it is the weekend!!)

Poor Leo- you could tell him tht he resembles a famous actor. Then he won’t care to much about the cat.

OOh, aren’t pubbed authors wonderful? I’m glad you were able to finally incorporate some of her ideas. I know how frustrating feedback can be, but also how useful :-)
