Black Friday, indeed!

What do you get when you cross a woman who’s still on a pumpkin pie high, lack of sleep from insomnia, a headache, also from lack of sleep, and a stiff neck?

Possibly the happiest woman you know. Why? She’s had time to read recently.

It’s all fine and dancy to WRITE in our WIPs, but it’s another thing entierly to actually sit, or lounge in ones favorite spot, open a romance book, and just enjoy it, suck in the atmosphere, etc. For us busy women we have work, laundry, kids, husband, housework, errands, and a million other small things that need to be taken care of. But for me, the joy of reading is just that…JOY.

It makes me forget my troubles, and the stress of everyday life, and just get engrossed into this world the author creates, where a man and a woman share the greatest thing they can with each other…they fall in love.

Don’t get me started on favorite authors, too many to name. But I’m wondering if there was a book you read recently that really touched your heart-strings?

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Michelle

When I read the title of today’s blog, Michelle, I thought “Oh, no she didn’t!” go out to the mall in the middle of all the madness going on out there. LOL. You’re so fortunate to have time to read and there are so many good reads out there right now!

I’m staying home to work on my WIP. As many of you know I’m participating in NaNo for the first time and I am going to reach my goal. In order to achieve my 50k word count, in less than thirty days, I haven’t *gasps* picked up or read a book this entire month. Needless to say I’m so looking forward to December when I can once again bring out my lovely and tall TBR pile and start reading again. I already know what books will get me started, but I like to know if you have any recommendations for me, after all December is 31 days long!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone :)

    I figured as much Isabel!!

And I about fainted too thinking you braved the malls today Michelle. YIKES!

I opted to actually watch tv last night. As many of you know I don’t do it often. So what’d I watch?? Not the latest reality shows (hate those) or even a drama tv series. Nope I watched romantic classics Only You and Pretty Woman. Ok they are classics because they were made in the 80’s hehe. Anyhow, it was nice.

Michelle, I recently finished Slightly Wicked, and I have to say that every Mary Balogh I read makes me fall further and further in love with her.

BTW, do any of you know if she blogs anywhere?

Keira, I love the Slightly Series!

But sadly, I don’t know if Mary blogs anywhere, I only seen her in chats from time to time at writerspace.com You might check their boards.

I finally got to read THE VAMPIRE WHO LOVED me and that was just wonderful. I also read two of Shana Galen’s books that were great :)
I’m overly emotional lately though, I was watching The Grinch the other night and almost shed a tear when the young grinch first reaches the top of that mountain and yells that he hates Christmas. *lol* I’m weird, I know..

I’ve read lots of books lately that tugged at my heartstrings. All of Julianne MacLean’s American Heiresses series, The Raven Prince, Desire Never Dies…to name a few.

No Black Friday shopping for us this year. We stayed home to decorate.
