The secret costume party of the Romantically Inclined ladies…
The porcupine made me do it in his never ending quest for blackmail! I swear! He found a picture of the ladies dressed in their Halloween outfits.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween!
Is anyone getting dressed up tonight? Or do you have a favorite costumed picture from the past?
ps. Haven and Isabel, this picture was already finished before we talked about the “other” site. But that kind of makes it amusing too, in a morbid after-the-fact fashion.
October 31st, 2006 at 2:12 amHehehehe }:) Happy Halloween!
October 31st, 2006 at 6:16 amOh. My. Gosh!! That darn porcupine has struck again! LOL! I only wish my body looked like that…
My favorite Halloween as a child was when I dressed up as Princess Leia from Star Wars–bun hair and all! My mom has the pics, though.
My favorite Halloween as an adult was when my husband (then boyfirend) and I dressed up as Dorothy and the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. We went to a Halloween party with friends of ours that were dressed up as a pimp and his ho. Two extremes… LOL!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!
October 31st, 2006 at 7:15 amOMG!!! Where did Jaunty get this picture from!!!!???
You ladies look awesome! I guess in a way I’m glad Jaunty decided to post this picture otherwise I’d never seen this one
I won’t dress up this year, I guess i didn’t have the energy to think about it *lame huh?*, but I was the Corpse Bride and Rich was the Grim Reaper two years ago. I tried to dress up the cat for her first halloween but the moment I tried to put on the costume on she became Jaggers Scissor Claws…
My favorite childhood costume was when I was around ten I dressed as a pumpkin. Adult costume I’ll say the Corpse Bride because that was the first time Rich and I had a theme going with our costumes.
Happy Halloween

My goodness, you ladies are HOT!
October 31st, 2006 at 11:40 amROTFLMAO!! The picture of you RI girls is great! At least Jaunty gave you all great bods.
I don’t dress up or anything, I’ll just hand out candy tonight. My husband’s company always has a big halloween party so every year he has a costume. This year he went as a Kissing Booth. I told him he better not be kissing anybody or I’ll cut off his b*****!! LOL! But I’m not too worried, because he’s got these really ugly brown, crooked teeth (fake, of course), and he looks really dorky. Then his sign has prices, with each price progressively crossed out - $1.00, 50 cents, 25 cents, then FREE! It’s actually pretty funny. I hope he wins a prize.
October 31st, 2006 at 1:40 pmOh, forgot to say - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
October 31st, 2006 at 1:40 pmOh me, I haven’t dressed up in years. The last time I was wearing my ST:TNG red shirt uniform — so stinken Captain rank for me, thank you very much, I was an Admiral.
Before that I was an astronaut. But a dream one would be (having to find me a partner to do it of course!) would be as Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. that would be very cool!

That is too funny!
No costumes for me.
October 31st, 2006 at 3:37 pmWell tonight I’ll be wearing a hospital gown, possibly an iv or two. No I’m actually serious (I’m not feeling too great), but ya know in the e.r. you see the strangest people so it will totally be like walking through a spook house.
And just for the record, I had thought about switching costumes with Andrea, but she insisted she was the barmaid/wench. Sooo I went with my favorite “roaring 20’s” costume…now where’s my bad boy???
BTW I’m not sure Emily is going to like her costume..but she rather looks like baby spice without the long hair hehe…shhh don’t tell her I said that hehe. And holy crackers Isabel, Michelle, you girls sure can pull off those sexy boots, wowsers. And April, who knew that nice could look so naughty haha.
Now I’m on the hunt for a porcupine…Mr. Quills, be afraid, be very very afraid!!!!
October 31st, 2006 at 3:45 pmO…MA….GAWD!!!
How did you find my “inner thin person screaming to come out?!?!” LOL.
Too hilarious for words!
Yes, I have on my costume right now, and it is gorgeous! I feel like a princess in my Rennaissance gown, complete with working corset. I paid a heavy price for it, but it’s well worth it! She actually cut the cost for me cause we’re tight financially.
I am SO getting a hoot out of the other ladies though. Andrea, you’re German? Isabel…or should I call you Mistress? Emmie, you are groovy! April, who knew you as Snow White could be so sexy! And Haven, the flapper outfit…it’s so you!
Thanks for this little gift Anne. I can’t stop laughing.
I’ll post pictures of my costume as soon as I get them developed.
Michelle
October 31st, 2006 at 4:46 pmAndrea - Star Wars bun hair, yes!! The Wizard of Oz matchup is so cute.
Isabel - The Corpse Bride and Grim Reaper is a really cute combo too! Jaggers Scissor Claws - yes, I’d have that problem too!
Manuelita - I love the crossed off prices and teeth. I love fun costumes.
October 31st, 2006 at 4:58 pmLois - Mrs. Darcy!
Haven - did I totally hit one of Emily’s peeves? Yikes! She just went so well with the blonde hair! And with the pose it’s like she’s giving some attitude to the camera, which I love.
October 31st, 2006 at 4:58 pmMichelle - can’t wait to see your pics!
Haven, hugs on the possible hospital visit! Hope you feel better!!!
October 31st, 2006 at 4:59 pmHaven, here’s sending tons of well wishes your way for a speedy return home. And do tell us if the hospital staff dressed up in costumes.
October 31st, 2006 at 7:28 pmWell, I’m back and they gave me pain meds and sent me home…rather typical. Anyhow, no, none of the staff were dressed up. But a few of the nurses had uniforms with Halloween theme jackets.
But while waiting in the waiting room, we say Princesses, Spiderman, Race Car Driver, Butterfly, Angel/Devil (it was one costume), and it was rumored that a man dressed as Jason (Friday 13th scary dude lol) was harassing folks and was arrested.
I, of course, wore the very short and very drafty hospital gown costume, complete with IV. Which I must say for this party it was all the rage as several others were dressed the same way.
Thank you for the well wishes everyone. I truly hate going to the e.r. because they never know what to do with me lol. It’s not as if I’ve chopped my finger off or something. Anyhow, I’m home now and less queasy, which is an improvement.
