The Me I Used to Be by Jennifer Archer
Today I have the honor of telling you about THE ME I USED TO BE by Jennifer Archer. This title is nominated for a RITA in the”Novel with Strong Romantic Elements” category.
Then: Sixteen-year-old Allison Cole, free-spirited young woman ready to spread her wings and willing to go where the breeze takes her. This time it’s to Woodstock, and dreams of a life with the boy she loves. But all to soon, the cold reality her parents warned her about soaks her to the bone like the rain that now swamps the festival of wild music and free love.
Now: At 51, Allison is a successful business woman and has everything she’s ever wanted. Almost. Except herself. And him. The one she loved and lost so long ago. Now it’s time to find him . . . the father of her child. This time, like before, Allison will begin a journey she never expected to take . . . .
THE ME I USED TO BE is Jennifer Archer’s second release in the NeXt line by Harlequin. In this novel, Ms. Archer does a terrific job of answering big “what if…” questions for Allison. What if I had made a different choice so long ago? What if I had continued to follow my heart to find the answers I craved? What happens once I discover the answers when I find HIM? What if having what I’ve always wanted isn’t what I have now? What if I want more?
Getting to the heart of her characters, and the hearts of readers, while creating a one-sitting story are great strengths in Jennifer Archer’s writing. These strengths will carry her through a predictably long career in storytelling, delivering satisfaction to readers who are ready for what comes next in life and want a great read, too.

Just when I promised myself no more books until I read the ones in my TBR pile, I had to stumble on your blog! Darn it. Okay, just one more. And that’s it!
