Freedom!

Ah, freedom! It’s a good thing as Martha Stewart would say.

I work for the school district not as a teacher, but as a reading/math tutor and also watch the kids during lunch recess. As of today, it’s my last day of school till the fall. The song “School’s out for summer” I think applies here really well. :D

This means four things:

More family time. We love to go walking on nature trails, camping, hiking, swimming together, and this summer we’re planning on doing loads of that stuff. Better that than sitting around having my kids spend all their time on the Xbox. lol.

Read any good books lately? I’ll have me time to read! Granted it’s usually at night when my eyelids betray me and droop, even if I’m really into the book, but still it’s a warm feeling just thinking of the books that I have waiting TBB or in my TBR pile.

Write. Yes I’ll have a lot more free time to write in my book. Although with me doing rehearsals almost every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings for Beauty and the Beast, the time is kinnda zapped, but even if I can set a timer near the computer and write for half an hour each day, think of the progress I’ll make! (BIG smile)

And on Sunday, May 28th, IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!! I wanted to go to a local amusement park called Lagoon, but it’s just going to be too much money, and I’m saving my money for when my two best friends come for a visit next summer. Soooo…..I purchased online tickets for me and dh to go see XMEN: III on Saturday. Can’t wait!

So my life is busy, but I have a goal, I have an inkling of what I want my summer to be like. Happy family, fun time spent with kids and hubby, outdoor activities, and enjoying my reading time while still making time for me writing.

How about you…Any plans for the summer???

Michelle, that sounds lovely! Sometimes I think that I should become a teacher, if only for the summer holidays *g*

Sounds like you’ll have a full (but fun!) schedule this summer!

Hmm, did I read anything good lately. I haven’t read a whole lot unfortunately, but I dead TAMING OF THE DUKE and that was great. And currently I’m re-reading Teresa M’s ONCE AN ANGEL for the umpteenth time :) (I love it, and it’s *not* just because the heroine’s name is Emily!)

Oooh! X3!! I’m soo jealous now. I love the X-men. Wolverine is my favourite character :)

This summer I don’t have any major plans. Just going home to visit my family for 2 weeks in end Jun/beg July, and that’s pretty much it. How about the rest of you? :)

    Happy early birthday, Michelle ((hugs)).

Well unfortunately I don’t get Summers off unless I request vacation and even then I don’t have enough hours to make a month worth. But I’m quite happy this way. I get the weekends and major holidays, like Memorial Day Monday off.

My plans for the Summer include, planning a trip to the RWA in August, reading and writing. I have a TBR pile that motivates me to go to work, do housework and read faster LOL

We’re planning to see X-men this weekend, I’m just going because I have a crush on Hugh Jackman.

Yes, happy early birthday Mish!! (((hugs)))

I hear ya, Mish! Woo-hoo! Summer is here!! I just love those lazy summer days…

Sounds like you’ll have a great time! I’m going to see X3 as well while my brother is here. I guess I’m the oddball…my favorite is Cyclops. James Marsden is just soooo HOT!! As you know, he’s the model for my hero, Nick. :)
I’m also planning to go to the RWA booksigning on July 26th. I simply CANNOT wait for this. So very, very exciting!!

As a family, we are planning on going to the new Georgia Aquarium and the Atlanta Zoo. My son is very much into animals and aquatic life, so we should have a lot of fun!

We have a new pool that’s opening today at the end of my street. It also has a playground next to it, so I’m sure we’ll be there a lot this summer, too.

Well, it sounds like we both have full summers, Mish! Oh, plus I’m saving my pennies for next summer, too. ;)
    Freedom…what a fabulous word!
