Many apologies for how late this is today. Our flight was delayed for bad weather and then I had to take a nap. So far, that’s my favorite part of being pregnant – as I never let myself nap in my real life. But I digress. So today will probably [...]

Alright you ladies asked for you… In its various forms, it is probably one of the most discussed topics at conferences. Love scenes are an integral part of romance writing yet for some writers the thought of writing one can strike the same amount of fear as the dreaded synopsis. I can’t tell you there [...]

I was asked about Point of View (POV) and scene structure, so I’m going to tackle that today. This is the same POV you worked with in High School English class, with a few exceptions. For the most part romance novels are written in 3rd or 1st person. 3rd person being the, “Jeremy stretched his [...]

As unique as our writing journeys are our methodologies. I have a real problem with people who say, “I can’t do _____ that way,” or “I can only _____ this way.” When it comes to writing, it is an ever-learning process and we should always keep an open mind to try new ways and methods. [...]

How any of you write to music?
Ideally, I do. But it’s mostly classical or movie scores, nothing that has words. That’s too distracting.
Some of my personal favorites are:
Chocolat
Braveheart
Beethoven
Mozart
Yanni
I’m sure there are more, but those are the main ones.
Please excuse the brevity of this post, I’m not feeling my [...]

I suppose I should go ahead and make everyone jealous. The Winner is [...]
