Family and friends

In your writing, perhaps you do things as I do.

In my WIP there is a secondary character, a woman named Cordelia (Delia) whom I’ve liked so much, that I’ve decided this will be a two book series. Delia will get together with my hero’s best friend, also a secondary character named Damian.

My question is, are your WIP’s stand alone, or part ofa series, if it is a series, do you carry on the story with friends, or family members of your characters?

Michelle

ps sorry for the late post, I need to remeber to check the dates, or possibly have someone remind me when I need to post. :D

My current story is a stand alone but will one day be part of a series. The current works is based on a mother, the later books will be based on her children. But I’m working on it so that it won’t be required to read them in order or at all to understand later books.

My story was originally meant to be a one-book deal, but then I merged it with another idea I’d had which meant that each of my hero’s younger sisters (he has three) would get their own book as well. They will be related in the way that these characters are related, but otherwise I want to make it possible to read each as a stand-alone.

I also have an idea for a fairy tale series, but the only thing connecting those would be the fairy tale theme. :)

My ideas always start off as stand alones, but by the end of the story my inner voice is whispering “but what’s going to happen to so-and-so?” Sometimes I find out what happens, and sometimes I don’t. :)
